Health and Fitness Goals

I was 21 years old the first time my heart race ever went above resting. I was very inactive. I was blessed with a moderate metabolism. But… things started to change. College hit me like a bus. I was drinking a lot of beer and being very immobile. This led to depression and other side effects that nobody would ever be happy with. I decided to change that when I met my husband. He led a similar lifestyle as me but always made time to make it to the gym, no excuses. I ran for the first time when I was 22 years old. In June 2016, I ran my first half marathon and I plan to make that an annual tradition for the rest of my life. I love running. I can proudly say that I run a minimum of 5 miles a day, as well as incorporating weight training, HIIT, and circuit training.

I will post my workouts regularly on my blog. They have become an important part of my life. I depend on them for sanity and to fight off the calories I consume in my kitchen. I will also post about different diets that I follow. I am always trying something new. I have done it all, I went a year being gluten-free, I did Paleo off and on during CrossFit training (shamefully, I did CrossFit for a while), I was a vegetarian in college, and now I’m on Weight Watchers. I’ll try to post the Smart Points to my recipes whenever possible.
